Provence 2024
New to the Walkabout lineup is this very special trip to Provence. With the theme “Behold!” we will focus on opening our eyes, both spiritually and creatively. Shelly will be joined by her sister-in-law, Julie Wildman, an artist, graphic designer, and renowned calligrapher. Shelly will lead morning spiritual reflections, and Julie will lead art workshops each afternoon. We will visit markets, historical sites, and the landscapes that inspired artists like Van Gogh, Cézanne, and many others.

Provence
Spend a week in a beautiful Provencal mas, surrounded by orchards and flower meadows. Relax in the pool. Play tennis or pétanque. And use the beautiful setting to inspire your creativity. This Walkabout trip combines daily outings to nearby towns and villages with daily art lessons back at the house. This is the land that inspired Van Gogh to paint some of his most famous works. Maybe it will inspire you too!
Behold!
Our theme for the week is “Behold!” Based on a poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, we will seek to focus our gaze on the ultimate creative, God. We will look for him throughout our journey—in colorful local markets, hilltop villages, and ancient Roman ruins. It is our hope that you will grow into a deeper relationship with God as you stand in awe of the beauty of Provence.
