France 2027

Paris & Burgundy

Many travelers overlook one of the most special regions of France: Burgundy. This is a wine-lovers paradise, to be sure, but it is also a region rich with religious history. From 900 year old monasteries to a basilica on a world-renowned pilgrimage trail, this area has a long history of faith. A 400-year-old restored farmhouse in a charming village (think Beauty and the Beast!) will be our home for the week as we explore, rest, and recharge. The trip begins in Paris with three days of exploration in the gorgeous “City of Lights.” Grab a friend or come as a solo traveler—all are welcome.

Come and see France at its finest!

April 29-May 8, 2027

Paris

Our trip begins with two nights in the 6th arrondisement of Paris—a perfect location for walking to everything. We will explore the city together, taking a walking tour of the Marais, home to Victor Hugo and many other famous Parisians, and watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle from a Seine River Cruise. You’ll even have some free time to see the parts of Paris that you really want to see.

Burgundy

From Paris we will take the train to our home in Burgundy. This 400 year old restored farmhouse will charm you, as will the village itself. Be prepared for beautiful countryside vistas, incredible wine tastings, and plenty of time to recharge your batteries. Our host is a British chef who will absolutely delight you with her culinary masterpieces.

Each day we will explore a new corner of this region, visiting the famous wine towns of Chablis and Beaune, as well as important historic sites. And if you’ve ever seen the movie Chocolat, you’ll definitely recognize one of my favorite villages, Flavigny. At the end of the week, you’ll have an opportunity to extend your trip further afield or head home from Paris.
