England 2027
British Countryside
September is a perfect time to visit England with its slightly cooler temperatures and far fewer crowds. Join me for this incredible foray into the British countryside—I’ve added some new destinations and kept some of the old favorites. If you’ve ever longed to see the “real” England, this trip is for you.
September 3-10, 2027
Derbyshire
A Walkabout first! We’re going to Derbyshire (pronounced “Dah-be-shur”), home of the Peak District, Bakewell tarts, and Chatsworth House (better known as Mr. Darcy’s house). We will taste see all of these and have fun exploring some of the most stunning landscapes in England. There are plenty of walking trails here, so we may take part in that quintessential British pastime as well.
The Cotswolds
A Walkabout favorite. We’ve already taken six (!) Walkabout trips to the Cotswolds, but we all love it so much we keep going back. This is without a doubt a favorite of every Walkabout participant.
Here’s your chance to explore villages filled with ancient stone walls and thatched roof cottages. With so much to see and do, you won’t be bored, but we’ll still make time for rest and renewal. The beautiful Woodchester Valley Vineyard will be our home base yet again. The house there is perfect for our groups, which is why I keep going back. Trust me, you’ll love the peace and tranquility of the English countryside
Come fill yourself with beauty, wonder, and rest as we explore this incredible landscape.
